View Full Version : Finger IK rigg

Hello, I'm trying to rigg the fingers of my character's hand in a more intuitive way rather than having all the attributes in the channel box. I saw how setup machine rigged the fingers with IK so all you have to do to curl or move a finger is move the controller around. Any one know how to manually do this? I have tried both RPIK and SCIK, but the joints never seem to bend the right way and keep flipping.

Oh, and I'm using May 8.5

Two things I would do -
Curl the fingers before applying IK, then use the Skeleton -> Set Preferred Angle command.
After you apply IK, create a pole vector object and constraint for each finger.
