I love it, but there is a small overlap of the shadows of his feet and the thing he's standing on.

That actually looks quite cool so far! I'd work on the guy more though to get him up to the more detailed look that the wall has. Some more texture in his clothing, etc..

This dark edge left from the demon looks lame. And the structure artist standing on too. There must be more boards. I really don't understand why there's a round sticks in it...
Add some wrinckles to demon's face and detail detail detail..
I like both the idea and the execution.
