I know this has been discussed before - specifically regarding how to deal with unit conversion (archvis models).
The one thing I can't deal with is why units can't be saved into the specific file you're working on.
For example, if I work on a model in inches, but my colleague has his units set to cm, when he open the model that's the scale unit of his model. There's no way for him to tell which units I used, without having to verify a standard dimension, like a door.
It would make things 1000 times easier if the units were simply saved with the model, so no matter who opens it, things will be right.
This is important, especially, with the combination of using VrayforC4D, where units make a huge difference, as lights and cameras use real-world units.
Just wanted to get it out there, and hopefully I'm not the only one with this wish... btw, is there a way to contact Maxon dev team with wishes for improvements?
