Hello..I have several questions which I would appreciate some help with. All of the problems I have are related to making realistic mechanical assemblies in MAX.

Question 1.
- What the best way to make a realistic spring!! Obviously there are a number of ways that this can be done but I particularlly need to be able to move a compression spring in non-axial movements.

I have attached a sketch of one of my applications. A spring is located over to cylinders, and then these cylinders are free to move relative to each other.

I am think that this may need a combination of methods. dynamics + bones BUT I cant work it. Any help appreciated...I'll try anything!
