View Full Version : Linking Spline points to objects?
Hi there, Just wondering if anyone could help me out with a silly question. Im trying to link some points from a spline to an object but I'm not too sure of the workflow for this??

Select the point. Create a cluster for it. Select the object to "link" to the point. Create a "object to cluster constraint" and pick the cluster in your explorer view. It's so simple.:wavey:

I had the impression you were after doing the opposite of what belly suggested, aka deforming the spline using objects and not the other way around.
If that's the case select the point(s) and create a cluster with center.
the cluster will now follow the null, constrain position the null to anything else you want to use to drive that cluster.
If that was not the case... well I just wasted some of your bandwidth, and there's nothing you can do about it, HAH !
Thanks for the help but I'm having trouble now actually creating the clusters... I select the point but then how do I turn that into a cluster?
Oh and yes, I am trying to link curve points to an object, not the other way but it's cool to know that you can do it the other way 'round!..
Oh ok, I got it... Edit/Create/Cluster with handle
Thanks for the help though "ThE_JacO" & "belly80naz"
