View Full Version : Solver Object makes Transforms Impossible?

I have a recurring problem with solver objects, if I want to tweak, say the position of something after it's already under a solver object, it's impossible.

Turning off the solver lets me do it temporarily, but then the object pops back as soon as the solver is back on. Also, unchilding the object from the solver has the same effect - as soon as it's childed again, it pops back to the original position.

The only solution I have right now, is to remove the rigid body tag from my object, then apply a new one, but then I have to go through and tweak all the settings again.

Is there a good way to do this that I'm missing? Very frustrating.

You're already half-way there.

After disabling the solver and the object has been moved, just go Dynamics/Initialize object (or Initialize all objects) to update the start position.

Then enable the solver again.

Thanks, I'll try it out - any trick to doing this in clothilde too?

Select cloth tag -> Go to AM-Tag tab, uncheck Cloth engine.

Move stuff around.

Go to AM-Dresser tab, make sure Dress mode is unchecked, click SET next to 'init state'

Go back to Tag tab again and check Cloth Engine back to enabled.
