i'm following a technique in a tutorial about making bump maps through procedurals(?) and im converting a fractal texture to a .tif file...
the problem is it renders correctly but when i convert it to textures in the hypershade Maya makes a new shader with a new bump map connection (from phong 24 w/ fractal1 to a phong25 w/ a weird name) w/c renders differently and when opened in Photoshop is just a black and white render of my model w/out the bump map details i wanted..
sorry if the problem is noob-ish...self-studying Maya is not as easy as I hoped...thanx
