Hello,
This is a personal piece that I finished up last weekend. It started out as a sketch of the girl’s silhouette with the magic disk behind her. I then used the design of the disk as the reference for the rest of the sketch's details.
I also saw this image, as is any new composition I suppose, as a good opportunity to try a few new things like trying to figure out how to paint water. All in all it was a fun piece and I hope you all enjoy. Comments and Crits are welcome and appreciated.
Here’s a link to the initial sketch for anyone that’s interested:

Cheers,
Kris.

That water is great! :) and the electrical energy too. My only crit would be that the girl's torso is a littlke too long. Keep it up.

Who needs intestines when you're made of water? :)
Nice work on the water, love the foam there.
Slightly more reflection of the lightworks all around wouldn't hurt the water I'd think, but might be a difficult task to undertake, and you've already done a good job at it.
Also, with all the blue surroundings and blue light, I might think her skin's values to be a bit blue too, atleast the shadows would be, I think.
But what am I blabbering about, it is an appeasing looking piece. And you've already spent more patience on it then I seem able to.

Thanks!
No pen tool, it was sketched freehand on tablet. For the ring behind her, I used a stroked circle as a guide, then I drew 1/8 of the pattern in the ring, duplicated it and then mirrored/rotated it 7x to complete the pattern. That helped keep things symetrical. You can see how the linework turned out here.
