Title: Transformers, more than meets the EARS?
Name: Brian Weston
Country: USA
Software: Carrara, Hexagon, Photoshop

This is a collection of audio transformers I have done for my company (an audio transformer manufacture). I modeled every thing here in either Hexagon or Carrara. Image was rendered in Carrara 6 Pro with just an HDRI for lighting. Post work was done in Photoshop. The image is for a 60”x34” poster. I know I have used the texture for the table/flooring in a number of my images, but I used it here because it fit the place were the image will be hanging very well. Please let me know what you think. I know that this is not as interesting a most of the art work displayed here, so thank for looking.

ironic topic :D
would've been cool to see a transformer made out of transformers, talk about a headache with all those small pieces.

I wish to thank both of you for your comments. I wish I had more time to venture into other types for modeling and images, but with time being so tight all I get to do mostly is the images for my company. And thank you Michael for the support. Your images are an inspiration.

Being no electrical expert I can't verify your accuracy in modelling however you've done a superb job of making a picture that LOOKS like a whole bunch of real transformers. Your materials especially have a great sense of authenticity. Well done!

Thanks Martin for the comments. My company uses only 3D generated product shots for their website and printed material. It is a lot cheeper and you get a lot more interesting images then sending them out to a professional photo studio or taking them photo in-house. So I try my best to get them to look real. Agian thank for your kind words.
