Hello I am a very big fan of the maya modeling engine but I am broke between two ways of creating models. Please guide me to which is better.

My first way was creating a polygon then going from there by cutting it up.

My second is to make a box divided into like 5 rows and 2 colums and add detail that way.

Please guide me to which will be better for me in the long wrong so i dont get started off on the wrong foot.

Thanks a million,

-Eric

Both ways work well. Just use what you like.

well, my way and the way of some people is to draw your character in a paper with two views, side and front, and start modeling above it, the mesh looks better to the mirror.

but... thats my way... and what I like most...
