First of all, I have to say thank you very much for the Texturing Workshop explanations. I am new in CG and I am learning so much reading these lessons...
I have read about that Lightwave texturing book that Leigh is writing. I am a Maya user and I haven´t got any knowledge about using Lighwave. My question is if it would be a good purchase for me or if its exclusively focused on Lightwave and not on creating textures from scratch ( this is my main interest right now )
Thanks.

Hi there :)

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the texturing lessons :D

About my book, yes it is specific to LightWave, but it does include a large section about painting textures from scratch. While the focus is obviously on the tools found within LW for texturing, I cannot write a book on the subject without having a BIG section on painting textures, so do not fear, there is something in the book for users of all software :)

The painting sections will demonstrate texture painting in Photoshop and Deep Paint 3D.

The book also has extensive texturing theory that can be applied to any 3D program :)

Could you tell us something more about the book? ( number of pages, release date, price, availability in other countries,...........)
