View Full Version : curves edits not updating model

Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I'm assuming that when editing and moving keys in the fcurves window, the models should be updating visually as well, but it often breaks for me.
IF I move the value of a key in the graph and set a key by hitting K, it snaps back to where it was before the curve edit.
I want the value of the key to automatically change when I moves things around in the fcurve window.
Even if a I set a new key on a channel within the fcurves window, it has no effect on the model.
Editing the model and then keying updates the curves, but not vice-versa.
So is there something I should know about fcurves in motionbuilder?

make sure your editing the correct curves... if the reach settings for the T and R are not on then picking the "IK" contorl node in the view or on the chracter picker and editing the fcurves will not do anything, pick the FK "yellow" skeleton and edit the fcurves.

If you want to edit the IK nodes fcurves just set the reach to 100% for t and r.

Ahh, so that's it. Thanks for the info.
By default, it seems only the foot and hip T/R are on.
