Johnny_Cannuck 04-08-2003, 07:45 PM This is my first real attempt to build a portion of a human face, I'll post more shots as the face is built. Let me know what you think!

Not bad, But I am wondering if you rendered these out with some ambiant light. I find that having ambiant light will reduce the intensity of the colors in the eye, So if you have any on try taking it off and re-rendering, you might be pleasently surprised.

you need a fold out flap of skin for the upper eyelid, on the outside. Other than that it looks pretty good
Keep this in mind when modeling the eye: the edge of the flesh is actually a cartaliginous ring that is pulled on either end of the eye to close it.
you have the basic shape down well but you need to obviously add the detail. I believe the cheek terminates significantly further up the eye so there is not as much protruding eye on the bottom, unless there is a fatty pocket there, in which case you would still need to change it. also the tear duct is a bit large e.g. (http://www.soaringhorizons.com/images/EYE.JPG) (thats on someone elses server so lets not have a 1000 pl dl it;) These of course vary, so feel free to disregard these comments if you know where your going but otherwise they apply.
