Hello folks,

I've been working with inorganic 3D for quite a while and recently I decided to start with organic modeling. Before doing it, I need to improve my 2D skills in order to get a better idea of proportion and so on. I'll use this thread to show my progress.

I kindly ask for your input on how I can improve my drawing skills. There are so many great artists in here, so I'm sure this is the right place to get some feedback :)

This first shot I did in order to study the proportions of the human head:

Here is the sketch (http://www.ajfavaron.com/forums/2D/Face_04_Sketch.jpg).

Thank you all ;)

Hi!
well the only way to improve drawing skills is to draw draw draw! study anatomy! is one of the best things you can do, get the loomis books and study with those (they are here to download in the art technique and theories forum) also check the anatomy forum is very good and helpful.
on your picture, the skin coloring is good! the nose too. the only thing is the proportions, her cheekbone is just too big, also her jawline is off. another thing is her eyes, she looks like she has no eyelids.
anyway I hope this helped you, I would love to see your improvement :)
