Im sorry for this question being quite generic and not specific to the balloon.
In the other competitions you are not allowed to use trail software because of watermarking. Does this rule apply to these competitions as well?
As I think Houdini would be great for this kind of competition, and as it is apprentice there will be a Houdini watermark in the bottom right of any renders.
Also why is trail software not allowed in the other comps, because I would have thought It would be better as it can be a great learning curve for new users, to get feedback and advice.

I have NO PROBLEM with trial software.
Actually I welcome it, becuase it shows me that yo uare here to learn (the core idea behind this competition).

So the sim needs to be done by 12 midnight Wednesday, correct? We then have until Friday for the final render? I'm a bit pressed for time, and I'm trying to figure out what's due when. Too much coffee, not enough sleep.
