View Full Version : 360 degree panoramic lens for x64?

I already tried pixero's lens on Maya 2008, but the renders come out black.
Does it need to be re-compiled for Maya 2008?

Is there anything else I need to consider? I just plugged the lens shader into the lens shader slot...

Does anybody else have a lat/lon lens shader for x64?

Thanks for any help!

You might want to give the CUBE renderlens (http://www.vi-motion.de/latlong_Tutorial/) a go. It worked in 2008 for me, on 32 bit though.

Alternatively you could do it "by hand", just render 5 stills in a cubic arrangement (like this: http://www.debevec.org/StPauls/stpauls-cross.jpg) then you can import those in HDR shop and combine into a lat-long map.

Take care to render in Floating point and with a gamma of 1.

Yeah, I saw that website and also tried the shader but like all others I tried - not in 64bit it seems:-(
I did try the Cubefaces and yes, it works - would be nice to get it in one go though...

Anybody else?

I'm also looking for a 64bit version of a spherical shader....i'll try to compile gg_spherical on WinXP x64, but i have no idea if it will work...but it will take a little while....

Bump!

Hi,
I am also looking for a panoramic lens that would work with Maya 2008 64 bits.
The JS_panoramic on pixero.com is supposetly 64 bit but it doesn't seems to work with Maya 2008 64 bits.

If there is someone somewhere capable of doing it, you will be hero!

Thanks

Mirage

I can only see a fisheye lens there - or can you set that lens to lat/lon360 somehow?

Cheers - Christoph

The data on pupet site is a bit old, the new p_shader is more great better with many shader, and even pass render without MR standalone (not as info in site). Download, install and see. In download also include a very detail manual with new update shader in pack

Sorry, if I'm a bit slow: I can't find it anywhere. How is it called?
We have the latest version installed, but no luck...

Hi,
I had a look at Puppet shaders but there is only a fisheye lens and no documentation for it. also the fish eye lens doesn't work with scanline, only raytracing.
I am hoping to find someone to recompile the lat long lens from www.vi-motion.de (http://www.vi-motion.de) for 64 bits.

Cheers,

Mirage

Does it support Maya 2008 sp1 64bit?

Yes

I just want to add a little, lume is only for 3DSMax, It upgrade, come with the version of 3dsmax/MR, so never doubt about its compability, it is an OFFICIAL shader, but just for 3DSMax, so we need to little rewrite the MI file for it to use and that s reason for "porting".
