the dof in the first image is fine, the 2nd looks over done, perhaps bring it down some, too blurry in back. the lighting in the first image is superb, very nice work. hope to see more of this project.

That ice is amazing. Well done. There's only one thing that bothers me. Everything in the scene has nice, rich textures except for the drill. It appears to be just a flat blue green color. To me it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb in both images. Otherwise, beautiful. Are skies and backgrounds 2D or 3D?

I like the heavy dof. I like the table top miniture look personaly. Other than the green drill like the other guy said, I can't see anything I don't like. Are these for an animation or something?

It seems that i've managed to involve a freeware game project and my concern is to help with opening and closing pics(or anims if i got time) load screens backgrounds and stuff like that.
Dudes who are making that game are quite happy with those pics, but i want to make em better so thats why i started this thread.

I toned down foreground DOF of that sunset pic and background DOF of that daytime pic, thanks snipa101 allso textured that drill, thanks
zzacmann and E.Z. Schwartz i didn't see that.

In sunset pic sky is full 3d and in daytime pic everything else is 3D exept that island wich is plane with alphamap.

Here is my first uv mapped pic. Texture is just pic i found in net, but when i got my wacom ill make my own:

hey looking better! one prob i got, but its not that big, i can get a feel for the time of day the sunset image is, but JarviD1.jpg, i dont know how the day is, it has overcast sky, but the ground seems very well lit up close, the ground towards the background is done very nice, just dont know what the foreground has goin on.

Great stuff! Actually the fishes in the second pic look more or less like the silicon baits you can buy everywhere. It would look much more realistic by making the fins kinda transparent and working a bit on the luminousness of the flakes...

snipa101: Yes lights aren't soft enough in that daytime pic, but those are good enough for now(or maybe there is hole in clouds so sun shines little harder there:rolleyes: )

cANt: I'm little confuced here, second pic? Well i assume you mean that underwater pic? Well for now it's just mapping test, but later ill make proper texture for fishes and make other improvements too.
