I have a lowres character that been rotoanimated to match the live action plate. Now I would like to camera map it and use the texture to emite particles, so the particles would born using the color of the cam mapped mesh. The problem with this is that PFlow keeps updating the material all the time to match the cam mapped material. I would like for exemple to have the particles born on the face area, for exemple, to be skin color when they born n keep that color, n not turn into black for exemple when the go over the hair.

Dunno if this makes sense at all.

Thanks

Do you mean something like this (http://scriptspot.com/bobo/mxs5/pflow/pflow__inherit_UV.htm)?

That Bobos script does the same as the Mapping Object Op, from Box#1, as far as I know.
My problem is more to do with the camera mapping, rather than emiting using a bitmap.

Box#3 allows you to query the actual current color of the closest point of a surface with a texture, and then hold on to this color.

Box#1 Mapping Object just acquires the mapping coords of the closest point. If the texture is animated then the resulting color is not constant.

Cheers Anselm. We dont have Box#3, but will give that script a go.

Great reel you put out, btw.
