in the links below you can find the "making of" this very wonderful short animation
does anyone know the process they used shown here (shown mostly in the layout and matte paintings sections), to transfer the 2d paintings of the background to the 3d space? it looks to me like its simple planes with painted texture maps
but it also shows occlusion pass and such, so i dont throughly understand this process
