Here is a piece of Starscream and his posse - Thundercracker to the left and Skywarp to his right.

Modeled and rendered in Maya 8.5 - textured, touched up & painted background with Photoshop.

Enjoy!

very well done, currently its transformania so it seems ;)
this pic is especially nice, since the shading is not superreal but seems to represent the old plastic transformer action figures.
i like that!

Memories memories, a very nice piece. Excellent modelling, the shaders make it look like an oil/acrylic painting to me, great stuff.

Thanks guys!

It's actually not the shaders (i used the stock standart blinn in maya w/colour, bump and simple spec map) but i actually went over it with a screen layer in PS and added details.

I like to think of it as a homage to the old boxart u used to see on the front of plastic aircraft model boxes. :-D

If u get time, google 'Hidetaka Tenjin' - particularly his Macross stuff, this guy is the MASTER of this style (which i poorly tried to emulate!).

You can see some more transformer goodness on my DA page, http://kurisama.deviantart.com/gallery/ !!!

And thanks again for the kind words!

Starscream was always my fav !!
I checked your deviant art link and the modelling of starscream is great, not overly detailed, kept it true to the original style. nice
