Hello everyone.. so here is a piece of the same character i posted before, i just didnt have him in a environement and always wanted to put him in one. So i finally went back to him and put him in one. Hope you guys like it.. any cc welcome.

This piece has a really nice feel to it. Well done.
I like the little details like the enviro reflections on the balloon. I also like the lighting.

Say, how do you get to render paint effects like that? I always have a problem with lighting paint effecgs...they always end up looking flat or washed out..even if i unlink the lights..it's a pain in the neck.
Could you please recommend any books/tutorials on this area?

I actually didnt use any paint effects for the grass if thats what you are refering too. I actually came along this nice tutorial on this maxwell site that explains a nice detail way of creating grass simply by taking pictures and creating the mattes and bump etc.. in photoshop. Then i also came along this nice script that duplicates a bunch of planes (wich would be your grass) based on a poly plane surface. And you can basically render them out in MR or any render you are using and you should be good. Here is the links to the tutorial and the scripts, hopefully this can solve your problem :thumbsup:
