View Full Version : Early stage WIP
UnmadeHistory 10-03-2007, 03:48 AM This is a small animation I'm working on that is an experiment with both a simple walk cycle and pulling/weight. I've already added a bit more to the animation in the time it took me to post this but anyway, any comments/critics/suggestions are welcome, thank you.
I hate Youtube for video quality but oh well:

The video ends abruptly sorry, I'll post an update within the end of the week.

Hey! I just watched you're animation and you're on the right track :) I'm no means the best animator in the world but I did notice something that might help you out a bit.
When he goes to pull on the sword, you might want to have him climb up onto the pedestal and get his center of weight right over the sword, thats a pretty hard thing to do the way he's trying to get at it, and maybe add a conclusion to the pull, did he get it or fail?
Also, in the walk portion of it, you might want to loosen him up a bit, he's very stiff and has not much up and down movement, just a few things I noticed :)
keep it up!

bit more of a planting on the steps - possibly a pause as if to check out the scene (maybe look behind him to see if anyone is watching).
Agree with the extra body weight over the sword or at least a foot up on the stone.
nice work :)
