All of a sudden, my AE CS3 just stopped loading. It worked fine a few days ago. Now, I get the AE intro box, then a Windows warning box pops up that says "After Effects warning: Failed to initialize mediacore". Then it just bails out to the desktop.
I have tried reinstalling AE three times with no change. I uninstalled a Flash demo version to see if that fixed it, no luck. I installed the CS3 Windows update - nothing. Lastly, I searched everywhere I could on the net for info on "mediacore" and found next to nothing. Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it?
