That's really nice.
I think there is too much specular around the eyes and the ears could maybe do with some more color - otherwise brilliant. :)

Those eyes are magnificent! DAMN! Great Job!
Sleepless nights and great pains have gone into producing truly wonderful spec / difuse maps also -
Only crit (especially given your choice of Brazil) would be to give a more 'SSS feel' to the nostrils and ears -your efforts seem TOO concentrated on the eyes area, great as they are!
Perhaps simply lifting the ambience (color saturation AND tonality) of these areas would help sufficiently (hateful practice, I know!)
and then tighten up the eccentricity a bit....

Just looked again -
Overall, your image would also benefit GREATLY from giving his armour(hey I'm ENGLISH, Mr.J.Birn!) or clothing more varied diff/specular rolloff; or generally just some variation
All the best, and lovely work!

it's excellent. Too much specular? I don't think so...it's not human skin! The eyes are amazing as well, very good work, very "realistic"

however when i look at it, i feel nothing, like theres no feeling in his face or eyes imho.
another pose or something could change that though
love the work though - great!

thats a very nice job you did there but the wireframe leads me to believe that it couldn't be animated because of the lack of edgeloops. Other than that i love the texturing lighting and rendering...very nice job...this should have made it to the front page:buttrock:
Excellent texture and lighting set up, this is definitely included into gallery. Bravo!!! :bounce: :bounce:
