First I posted this picture in the 2D and Concept Art (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53420) dept. because I somehow imagined Gallery/Finished Work was 3D-only.

But the feedback was low. So I thought I'd try my luck around here...

The only idea behind this smear was to keep my painting skills at status quo or improve them. So I found an interesting photo of an old, wrinkled lady googling around, and used it as a reference.

The image was painted in Photoshop. And I used about 10+ hours on it (not quite sure as I painted inbetween my other everyday doing).

So... Whaddaya think? I know she ain't the hottest girl in town... but any feedback is appreciated

Hey... no replies? It's strange...
I like a lot this paint, I'm not good with 2D, but I think this is a cool results for someone that make this kind of art as exercise.
You made a good work here, keep up your skill man

Good work, I think some more detail in the skin is needed, and the chin seems especially needy, also the sweater just seems to end on the left side of the neck. Having said that the hat is realy nice, good feeling to it. It is so full of detail that it makes me want to see more detail in the face. Maby try a more subdued background. Hope this helps.

Out,
Don
