View Full Version : Boujou Split Track Issue

Hello All, thanks for taking the time to read this. I am tying to track a shot in boujou. The footage was shot on a sony HD cam and has a lot of motion blur. After I feature tracked the shot and then camera tracked it I had some areas that did not featrue track so I went back in and added some locators by hand and the error went a way. So I retracked the camera and it still split my camera up into like 19 different cameras. My question is this. How can I get rid of the split track error? I think if I did this my Camera track would work just fine. Do I need to add more locators? I went in and added at least 10 in every problem area that I could find. Any thoughts would help a lot. Did you add some assisted/golden tracks to the shot?

Not sure. I went in and added 10 or so "locators" for every bad area in the track. I went in and moved them every frame thinking I was "Hand" tracking. But when I solved for the camera it did not add predictions for any of the locators I added. I wish there was a way I could just combine the cameras into one camera. I could then take that into flame and just fix any problmes with the camera in there.

Look up in the manual how to add assisted tracks, thats what you need, not the locators.

add target tracks as much as possible throgh out the sequence !.

I think I am doing it wrong then. When I add target tracks nothing happens. I use to Flame where if I place a tartget track then click render it tracks the target. When I do that in Boujou it does not track anything that I can see.

right click on it and pick "track this". Did you read the manual? This is boujou basics 101 tutorial.

Ha! No sorry. I don't have a manual (well I guess I have the help files). I did do some reading on it. Never saw the part about "track this" it would just say "Add a target track" and never how to do it. Thanks for the help and sorry to be such a noob.
