In Maya PLE - I used "create polygon tool" to make a simple shape, ended up with a polygon and now I want to make a hole inside it. So I created in it another polygon (that is to be that hole) and thats when my problem came up - how can i make this
second polygon to cut out the hole in the first one? Or can it be done in some another way? Just no booleans please... Thanks a heap for any advice

I believe there are multiple ways to do this, I like deleting the poly where the hole needs to be, then combine the two objects, and create the poly new with the 'Append Poly Tool' following the hole outlines...I hope you understand what I'm trying to say, kinda hard to explain :surprised

You could also use the hole-poly as template and cut your base-poly, so you got enough vertices and align them up with the hole vertices.

Maybe booleans will work in maya5.0...:rolleyes:sigh
