Is there a way in C4d to render a large image 3000 x 3000 in sections...say 1000 x 1000 increments?

Which would be 3 shorter renders versus 1 longer one that can be stiched together in a seperate application.

In the Content Browser check for the Tiled Camera preset.
It allows to split up a single image into a several single images that you can distribute via Net Render (or of course render on your workstation).

And remember you have to render an animation even though you are creating a still. eg: if you set the camera to 3x3 tiles you want to render 9 frames (0 to 8).
