View Full Version : Q: Network Rendering and Plugins

I have been using the Network rendering for a while now but I have never run in to this before.

I have a custom made plugin that someone wrote for me, it loads under the Utilities panel (I don't know if that matters or not). Well the rendering completely depends on this plugin, so when I goto netrender, the plugin doesn't load on the other machines and I get an error message.

Is there something that I need to setup on my end or do I need to install the plugin on all the machines or is it something that the programer needs to write to be recognized by backburner?

Howdy !

if the rendering depends on this plugin, i'd say it needs to be installed and configured same way on each machine you run the network rendering on, since netrendering basically starts Max on each machine used, it needs all the settings and plugins required for the render on each machine.

now there might be some particularities as to running a scripted plugin that i'm not aware of... but i think it should work.
