hello everybody, im in a bit of a situation.
Currenly I study animation, and at the moment in our course we are having to get a short film finished for the end of the year.
Im still texturing some things, most of which i am able to do reasonably easily, however i have come across the problem of a tree i created, it has lots of twists anda few segments that join in with each other.

here are a few quick screen grabs of what im dealing with:

Base of the tree/roots

any help in directions to take to texture it would be apreciated.
i was thinking of looking into zbrush, however with my extremely limited knowledge of the program im not sure i have the time to learn it. i do know it a bit, i am familiar with the interface and how 2.5d works and all that.
i know what i think i would need to do in it, ie. make a brush in photoshop with the wood tileable texture on it (can do that easy) but then not quite sure how i would bring that into zbrush to paint it onto my tree properly, and then also export it.

are there any tutes on this kinda thing somone could point out? (im not too lazy to look, just too busy)
desperately seeking some help with this one, otherwise ill have to resort to a brown lambert....

cheers guys and galls.

Nothing quick and easy to solve this, except to keep the UVs intact by remodelling it. Then you could use just about any 3D projection paint software (ZBrush, BodyPaint3D, DeepPaint3D, etc.) to fix seams and add detail.
