I created this image to pay homage to what is in my opinion one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built.
The image was made using predominantly Blender, with Photoshop used for textures and post-pro. It was additionally my first larger work; and, although my techniques and talent have since improved, it is still one of my favorites.

Thanks for looking and feel free to leave any comments and criticisms.

It looks very good..... nice compostion.

I think some weathering and specular maps could really bring it to life and help it integrate better into the backdrop. Shading in the intakes could be darker. Some hint of a pilot would be good.

That looks very sweet and a nice touch on the composition. Great model... Kevin's suggestions would add a nice extra dimension to the image.

Thanks all!
I completely agree about the textures. This image was originally rendered quite some time ago, and I had very little experience with such things back then. But the cleanness of the textures is something which has always bothered me - although an update is somewhat unlikely as I have long since moved onto other things. Its all still a learning experience for me so these are things which I can keep imroving on and apply to my current and future projects.
Thanks for the replies! I'm glad you like it.
