I am trying to render tiffs with a transparency but I am getting a faint out line of the of the texture.

You can see the problem here http://3dtreat.com/pages/tutorials/RaytraceShadowFix/solution.html (http://3dtreat.com/pages/tutorials/RaytraceShadowFix/solution.html)

I have tried the work around but I cannot get it to work so does anyone know of a better way to do this or can explain how to get this work around to work :)

I am using Maya 8

Just set to 0 the "shadow attenuation" parameter (default 0.5 in all maya materials), under:

eg: yourmaterialshaderAE> raytracing options> shadow attenuation
