sorry have not posted here in a long time .
this is my latest painting , the idea for it has been floating about my brain for about a year now and now it is finished
( mind you i have not been working on it that long )

12 hours in photoshop CS2
with my wacom intus 6x8
( oh how i love it so )

this is my first real attempt at photorealisim ...all tho i think ithat i started to slip out of the style as the painting went on...

please comment and crit , i wish to become better

wonderful, love the face! but I think the tree on the left resents me a bit. anyway, 4 stars from me!

Is there some sort of "hidden" meaning behind the misspelling of "birches?"

The face is lovely, but the water dripping off her looks weird, since nothing else in the image is wet...

The black branches in front of the birch tree on the left look strangely disjointed and somewhat flat, since the viewer cannot see the tree from where they sprout, and with the bark of the birch tree behind them "echoing" the contours.

Likewise, the black branch on the right looks like it is sprouting from the back of her head.

Unusual, but interesting piece.
