View Full Version : Twoway link (animatable)
Hello,
I was looking for a way to link 2 object to each other in a way that when I transform object 1, object 2 follows, but when I transform object 2, 1 will follow.
I wrote a script that did this quite nice, but I couldn't animate it.

Can't you just use an attachment/link controller?
Animate each of thier parent's over time.

You can't attach a child to it's parent :(
I've made a simple scene do demonstrate what I want. If you've opened the file, you should run the maxscript included. It's a bad way of writing maxscript, but it is just intended to show what twoway link I want to accomplish.

The heck you can't.
You should be able to animate the link between the 2 objects, but each object must have the link contraint.
Try it, really.
