Hi,

I got myself into a bit of a problem,

what i did is this.

-model in max , no uv's

- import in mudbox up to 3 levels

-exported level 3 to mudbox

-sculpted there.

now i got a problem, i only got the highres, cant import it in to max, to high, need to make a normal map, but my lower levels are in mudbox, could make a obj of a lower level.

now it would be great if i could import the lowest level or a lower level from mudbox into zbrush, in mudbox its possible to import levels, cant fin it in zbrush.

also now making a normal map at this point doesnt work, caus i got no uv's i can use zbrush uv's, wanted to do that.. but than i need the same uv's on a lower level to get that to work, so now im stuck..

any suggestions?

I am not to sure what you want to do.

But you can take your highest level mesh from 3DS Max or Mudbox into Zbrush, then go to Geometry- Reconstruct Subdiv.
This will recreate your levels their, then use your lowest level as a base to either export to Max for UV creation or make AUV's in Zbrush.

yes, i did that.. but it doesnt do anything, the option doesnt work with my model for some reason.

if there isnt another option,

than how could i get the uv's the same, model doesnt have any.. so i do that in zbrush than,
so i import my lowest level from mudbox as obj, and want it to have the same uv's as the highres model in zbrush, so i can use the low level from mudbox as my base for in max.

now i need to make uv's on my model, can a transfer the uv's from the low res mesh to the highly detailed sculpted mesh somehow?

caus uv mapping the high level mesh wont work, caus its per poly texturing, than i just get 1 pixel per face caus i have 1 milj polys.
