Hi all.
My first input, as a new-noob in this society, for the challange :) here it is - the story is about a doc who really-knoks a brain on a rube-a-cube to understand how can it be put in order, how it works. But not realizing that the rube-a-cube he has, contains only one color square - they should be multiple color as we all know. so the wondering continues. all comments&crits are welcome! best luck to all, and great works everyone!
cheers.

Wow: cool work! First of all compliments on your sketchstyle: the pencilstuff looks really nice!
You got a very original idea, and you're working on a very interesting execution (mainly because it seems you're going to render this 'funny idea' in quite a serious/dark way). Also I like your workflow of drawing those small parts of the image, and combining them digitally.
All the best on the upcoming 5 days! :)

thanx Dutchman :)
well i have been a bit stronger with traditional way :) and by pencil it gives me bigger and faster way to search-look-try out. And you know what they say - the devil is in the details. its gone be fun last 5days thou.
im kind of noob, my exp will grow in time but its fun, really big enjou to paint-draw after a hard days work so lets see where it all goes :). this image for example i tryed to paint using dual-scatter-patter brush, just to make the image more alive, textured so i could play with color and surface, just like regular pencile-coal on a canvas.
so now on with the progress and all feedback comments&critics are more then welcome!
cheers!

hi!
well after tweaking a little bit more, heres the final image. And here comes the story too-
....well what can i do. you see there are 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 possible combinations to solve it and the most amazing thing is that currently one person has done it in 16.5 seconds. You know in order me to do it is just try and learn the inside secrets on HOW it works!..... well well, if only he could understand the fact that strangely he has a Rubik´s Cube that only has one color on it, if only he could understand it before he has spent too much time working on it. strange, but kind of sad!
P.S. - "Easiest color to solve on a Rubik's Cube? black. Simply remove all the little colored stickers on the cube, and each side of the cube will now be the original color of the plastic underneath - black. According to the instructions, this means the puzzle is solved."
- Steve Rubenstein

I just have a small remark: the cube as shown in the paper in front of him, should be a real (proper) Rubik's cube right? The colors are not correct. For example the square in the corner has the same color on all three sides, so it can never be solved either.
So both his own cube and the cube in the instructions are wrong! this is never going to get solved! haha
Great drawing though, congrats on finishing it!

hi simonjaap
:D you know your 100% right on it! but what is the strange behaviour then, even the drawing is wrong! im in shame that i didnt looked it over, well knowledge/experience comes in time, i will make a correction on it. thanx for pointing it out, best luck!
cheers.
Hey Lauri, really cool image!! I like a lot the ambient on the scene, and the "columns" of books are a great touch on the concept. The design of the "doc" character is great!! The spider web gives the idea that the character has been trying to solve the cube for months!! really great touch!! Congratulations for this great concept and good luck!! Cheers!!

The whole scene is very serene, and those spiderwebs are as well.:)
Although his behaviour seems to be a little bit rediculous ,
but he reminds me of some serious scholars doing their research,
even though no other ones in this world understand what the hell he is researching.
Nice painting.
And your avatar is pretty cool and I really like it.
