Hi there,

Im Just wondering if anyone has any good links to tutorials or videos into creating walk cycles that arent just in a straight line, say going round corners, doen hills, up hilles and whatnot.

And really what is the best way to approach the problem.

Would it be to creating a few steps and have the characters controls all linked up to one dummy, and then have that dump follow a path. I cant see this working out to well, so please guys post your comments or links.

Thanks

i'd probably do my cycle, then use it as a base, and change depending of the situation, like a corner to have the forward walk do a turn and then blend into a new walk, and work it out from there. I do not think there are any good ways to do it to make it seem non-repetative, instead have a base and then do each situation individually. Trax editor in maya or clips for max or something would work as well, to use different clips and blend between.
