Someone asked me this:
Is there a way to import CAD files into 3dsmax? The files he's got are .DXF and .DWG, which I know nothing about.

Max has the import options for both of those file formats. But I would recommend going through a different app to get them into Max.... Try downloading the 15 save trial version of Rhinoceros 3D from http://www.rhino3d.com (if they still do it that is) and using that to export. Then go out and buy Rhino cos it's great! :D
