Hello.

I am requesting information on how to preview HDRI images in Photoshop? I have recently obtained a disk with a vast number of HDRI images, but I'm having trouble viewing them. Is there a program required to open and view? I use Maya 8 & 8.5 and I would like to use these for rendering. What does one need to do once these files are opened and waiting in the directory?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Photoshop CS2 and higher can open and view it, but not previous versions AFAIK.
Usually there must be previews. What renderer do you use?

hello....

I believe that the problem rests with the fact that my version of Photoshop is outdated for the HDRI files. I tried it out on another computer with Photoshop CS2 and it works perfectly. I suppose the only thing left to do now is update!

Thanks for your suggestion.

Cheers.

there is a program called HDR Shop, not sure if it's still free, it's a small program where you can view, assemble, modify and output HDRIs.

Hi.

I aware of this program as well. Now that I've updated my photoshop to the correct version, I'm able to preview the images with no problem.

Thanks though.

Cheers.
