I bought a laptop so i can work on the road. The laptop is working like my charm, only problem is that when I use C4D and selection tools in poly/point/edge modes, I get something like this:

(faked image as it wont allow me to PrintScreen while having LMB/pen held down)

So I get to 'draw' on the viewport, fun as heck, but definitely not a needed feature. Nothing fails to work, only that I get a trail behind the mouse/pen cursor whenever it's held down. There are also some other oddities with viewports on my laptop, but I think they are all related to the same issue.

I was thinking this has something to do with ATI drivers, downside is that there are no updates available for X1400 from LG (ATI doesnt support laptop drivers itself).

Are there any settings inside C4D that could be causing this kind of behavior? OGL settings? Anything I should try configuring?

While this doesnt directly harm on my work, it still somehow manages to piss me off big time:(

In preferences go to viewport / OPENGL shading. Start unticking boxes until it fixes the problem.

Vista itself poses no problem, but many graphicsdrivers for Vista are not yet fully stable and functional. This got better over time so make sure to update to the latest drivers you can get.
