Hi all,
So were setting up a maya/lightwave renderfarm, and so far I have only dealt with lightwave.
I can setup lightwave on a machine, share both the program and projects directorys, and the command line renderer (lwsn.exe) just runs from those and can be run from any computer. In fact the only thing on the rendernodes is a shortcut to the lwsn.exe program, it opens up a cmd window and away it goes.
LW has unlimited render nodes as well btw.
So my question is can you have a similar setup as LW, ie only one network install of maya and just be referenced by the controller?
How does Maya network rendering work?
Is there any difference with linux nodes?
TIA everyone, much appreciated..
