Hey all...and by "all" I mean the 5 people who have ever looked here.
Ok, my beef:
Is it possible that the star system is being abused? If you look at the majority of ratings, threads have either no stars, or 5.
I see these guys get on a thread, and just because they like the thread content, they automatically give it 5 stars.
I, personally, think that the 5th star should be reserved for threads that go above and beyond the norm. A good piece of artwork deserves 1 to 4 stars. A massive and mindblowing project can walk away with 5.
That's just my opinion, and it's highly qualitative. What I consider "mind-blowing", to some, might seem mundane, and visa versa.
Just something I'd like to encourage the community as a whole to think about, before jumping on the 5 start bandwagon.
I mean, really, we might as well have an "Good/Bad" rating system...
