I followed the instructions from here:
http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=10&t=534735

and Exported the Quicktime in a Animation codec.
I opened the file in Quicktime, export settings, Video settings, and the program just shuts off... I tried restarting and reinstalling the program but same result...
So I went into the AE6.5 then I tried Export MPEG-4. I set the settings and exported. In the end, after 30 minutes of waiting, it got an Quicktime codec error... something like 2220.
I'm guessing something is wrong with the whole quicktime error? Anyone have any idea on this?

hi,

maybe you`re using a nvidia graphiccard?

i had some issues with quicktime pro 7.2 and quadro fx with latest drivers (162).

quicktime crashed everytime i tried to inspect the compression settings...

anyway, a message on the apple board solved the issue:

"Everyone who's having this problem is most likely using Nvidia graphics and if so the fix is to use the drive version 97.94 instead of the newer 158 or 162 drivers because they are causing the overrun problem and problems with other software that uses quicktime components. so just uninstall the graphics driver and download version 97.94 and install that and you should be running fine after that! "

so, after downgrading my driver to 97.x i had no more problems with quicktime export and compression settings within quicktime.

hope that helps,

chem!
