View Full Version : Character...Back at it
Spirit2029 04-05-2003, 01:36 AM Okay im getting closer I think, ARGG.. Anyways this is lizzy again, main character for my comic, that may never get done at this pace. Anyways critique away, havent finished the neck and ear, and still a little tweakin left on the nose, mostly the nostrils. If you see anything majorly off please point it out, im tryin for realistic, but with a little hint of style to it..gave up on photoreal, I just havent studied anatomy enough for that yet.

okay and roughly side and front views, cause you never actually look at a person dead on..well I dont plan to frame her dead front or dead side in the comic so...blahh...
Thanx Spirit2029

I really like what you got here. In my opinion, you've hit a very sweetspot stylewise, and I can't really see anything that screams "off!!!"...
Great job!
What will the comic be about? And what happened to your earlier projects with a futuristic motorcycle and female pilot?

thanx for the reply urgaffel. I was aiming for a realistic look, but just a hint of style, I think its basically there.
Um the comic book, well its a scifi/fantasy about this girl, Elizabeth Smith, who is kinda a bounty hunter of sorts, but with some special abilities. It's focused on her, and her adventures through a large twisting plot and timeline, and just how big of a role she has to play in it. As I get some more work on the characters and etc done ill start a site for it, with a synopis, and lots of art, concept, final etc..to try to pitch the idea, need to eventually get some funding for it.
The bike and girl were a project I was workin on with a buddy when we were in school, but he decided it was too much work, and we both kinda backed out. It became a trial and error platform for us though, we learned alot about modelin, and general design, plus how hard it can be to keep style consistent.
I will post more on Lizzy here as I get her done, Im finally back working on my stuff full time so big updates will follow. But would love more input from everyone, keep me motivated...

That's a nice clean model you have there. Just remember to get rid of the total symmetry once you merge both sides: no one has a perfectly mirrored face!
I'd love to see some more detailed textures!
