Title: Joan of Arc, Animal Self-Portrait, Facial Muscle/Bone Study
Name: Marika Timmerman
Country: USA
Software:
Materials: Chavant Professional Plasteline
These are some sculptures I made for class this year. I made the "Joan of Arc" figure using anatomy books for reference. I've blended my facial features with those of a giraffe in "Animal Self-Portrait." The last one is a study I did of the muscles and bones in the face. Let me know what you guys think!

So, these aren't 3d, they're made from modelling clay!
What are they doing in the 3d gallery!

I think you're right,AndrewMarch. Those pics looks like it's made from clay, not 3D at all.
Don't know why FrimFram posted this work. :(

Yes, these are actually sculpted from clay. I should have made that more clear. It's my first time on CGtalk and I thought 3D traditional would be okay too :(
Sorry everybody, I didn't mean to be misleading. How do I remove this post from the gallery?

these are good. it'll be nice to see more none-cg sculpt in here.
So, these aren't 3d, they're made from modelling clay!
They are 3D. They aren't CG, but they are 3D models. Before CG became mainstream, "3D Illustrator" meant he/she works with clay or physical objects to create illustrations.
Anyhow, very nice work FrimFram. You could probably post these in Artistic Anatomy forum. I'm sure Rebecca wouldn't mind. :)

I like your work, but isn't this off-topic ?
I could be wrong but I think that only 3D CG artworks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CG_artwork) should be posted here, on the 3D Gallery of CG Society.
By the way, "Artemis" would have been more appopriate for the name of your first work.
"Joan of Arc" is better known wearing a full-plated armor and wielding a long sword. ;)
