hi,
i'm exploring messiah 2.5b with the demo trial i donloaded from the official site.. but it is so slow that is't impossible to be used.. almost 5 seconds of delay for any simple command (even selecting a sphere).
i already took a look to the faqs and did a search here to see if somebody else experienced something similar, but i didn't find anything..
my system is an AMD athlon 3600+ with 1Gb Ram, an ATI Radeon with 128Mb videoRam, running on Windows XP. it's not a spaceship, i know, but i normally use xsi, maya, zbrush going over 1 million of polys, including rigs & clips..
i also searched for something to set up into the preference but didn't find any hardware or API optimization option..

does anybody have a clue?

That's weird, Radeon is usually pretty decent with Messiah.
The only thing I can see in the docs is this:
ATI
In the graphics driver, set all of the "custom settings" to highest quality and then set the "compatibility setting: Z-buffer depth to "force 16 bit".
Or, in the Advanced settings of the Radeon driver, choose MayaNT.
Driver version 4.2 will work solid. ATI is aware of this problem and someone from their catalyst support team says it will be fixed in the next release; 4.6 or 4.7.

This was written some time ago I think but try the force 16 bit or MayaNT options.

It may be a bug with your system that you might want to report to techsupport@projectmessiah.com

It should not be as slow as you describe but it's hard for me to guess where the error lies.
