Title: Naked Lunch

Naked Lunch refers to the William Burroughs book, Naked Lunch. After reading the book for the first time I was inspired to create La Dolce Vita, later on i saw the David Cronenberg film , which was based on the book. I read the book again, and decided to create a piece that referred to the story.
In a nutshell the book deals with one mans personal journey of drug induced nightmares and bizarre hallucinations, at times the detailed observation of these incredible visions is so amazing that you begin to experience them as completely real.
The book and Movie are so psychological and metaphorical, I'm sure it means something different to everyone who reads it. Throughout the book, a variety of strange beings and creatures, haunt and persecute the author, i tried to depict some of them, in my own personal way, I wasn't really trying to illustrate the actual book, i was more interested in creating the kind of mental state that the book inspired.
