… the modeling on my Utahraptor is almost done … I would love to here some opinions before I start to texture it … the proportions are not exactly ok, but I can’t tell for sure what’s wrong …

you can download a bigger version here (2560x1920 172 kb) (http://www.dddmarket.com/dddmarket/html/pics/utahraptor/utahraptor.jpg /)

Thanx

great model...
maybe the angle between his jaws are a bit to sharp, how about some skin-overlapping?
can't wait to see this finished:bounce:

forgot:without nostrills he can't smell the little children hiding in the kitchen;) his olfactorius is whats makes him an unbeatable hunter:buttrock:

I love the head and the feet. One crit- the base of the tale appears to be too thing. There should be more muscle mass on the tale near where the legs connect. Know what I mean? The pelvic bone (the bump underneith between the legs shouldn't be as noticeble b/c of the thickness of the lower tail. Hope that helps. Some good referrence would be some jurassic park flicks. Great shots of the raptors there. It looks freakin cool. I can't wait to see those killer textures you've got;)

Cool start! The face looks great, the hand and arms look short for this type of dino, I could be wrong. Also to counteract the softness make some more bone and muscle detail visible, such as the top of the hip and ribs.

Yeah, looking cool so far.

His mouth probably goes back a little bit too far also, look for some lizard or snake reference and look at their jaws, they have a piece of skin inside their mouths at the corners that if you had on your model, would probably soften the corner of the mouth and make it look more natural.

when you look at reptile reference you'll see that large reptiles have 'baggy' looking skin around the neck, belly, leg and armpit joints. If you modeled that sort of thing in you'd get a bit more realism in there. Of course a good bump map would do the job as well.
