CGTalk - Selection modes?

I just installed the current version of Wings 3D. I had a previous version installed a while back, and I remember there was something like a "sticky" selection mode, where I could select anything (edges, faces, etc.) if nothing was selected, and then select more of the same (all without actually picking one of the main selection modes). Now I can't seem to find that anywhere. Is it still available?

Also, is there any way to customize shorcuts for the various selection modes if they aren't in menus?

Nevermind about the first question. I found it in the preferences (smart highlighting).

they are in the menus
selection | by | ajacent
and you can use these to reassign all the selection modes to the hot keys of your choice
