OK, looks like a good start.
Is this based on a real egg? I thought there was more filigree and other stuff on them.

Actually, this is a "compilation egg" inspired by Feberge (it's going to be used in a short film I'm producing). Feberge eggs range from the very simplistic (with a subtle enamel pattern and minimal ornamentation) to the extremely complex (covered with jewels, ornamentation, etc.).
I wanted something elegant, yet simple, so I went with the middle-ground. Faberge was also known for their many other items produced, like pens, lighter cases, cigarette cases, earrings and bobbles, etc. But they are most known for their unique and innovative use of colored enamels to create exotic patterns on their products.
I've seen the actual eggs themselves in person, and purchased a book to use as reference for this particular project titled "Masterpieces from the House of Faberge" (in case anyone out there is interested in researching this for their own art......).
Thanks for the comment!
